After packing up from the Western Canadian Beach Sprints (it is amazing what fit into that truck!), no more OARCA hosted regattas on the calendar for 2025. Instead, July was busy times running Learn to Rows and Novice rows. We had so much fun!
More Novice rows planned for August and we can try to run a Learn to Row if there is enough interest and we can find a coach. Seems everyone, including coaches, are off on vacation.
We hope to get more programs happening at Cadboro Bay, potentially starting with a Come Try on September 14th. This will be mostly directed at UVic students to kick start their coastal rowing club. The first club of its kind in Canada! If non UVic students are interested in trying coastal rowing on that day, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.
