New for 2025 an OARCA Speaker Series! We have so much talent within OARCA that we thought we’d put some of our rowers to work and come up with talks for the cold days of winter / spring. We have 4 talks planned, to take place on the first Wednesday of each month beginning in February. We are still finalizing the titles and descriptions but save the date and keep an eye on this website for more details. Very tentatively the planned talks are as follows:
- Feb 5th: Race to Alaska in a rowboat
- Mar 5th: Understanding tides and currents
- Apr 2nd: Managing Cold Water and Immersion
- May 7th: Understanding Beach Sprints
The talks will be free and will either be given via Zoom or in person. We are still working on that.
